Meningitis B
Meningitis B
Given the outbreak of Meningitis B in Kent we are monitoring the situation, if we are informed by the UK HSE to start an extended vaccination programme we will contact anyone eligible.
Currently, the vaccination is offered at babies 1st, 2nd and12 month immunisations, children unvaccinated with 2 doses under the age of 2 can attend the surgery to be booked in for catch up doses. At present there are no plans to vaccinate people over the age of 2, this is in line with national guidelines.
If you are unsure regarding your child’s vaccination history please speak to a member of our Care Navigator's at the surgery who will be happy to check your child's records..
