Fact's Around NHS e-Referrals, Did you know?

• Over 40% of e-RS appointments are booked by practice staff

  Most of these, patients could book their own appointments online. 

• Did not attend (DNA) rate halved

  When patients book their own appointments, the did not attend (DNA) rate is halved. This means patients are treated in a timely way and practices do not need to refer these patients again.

• Patients can manage their appointments 24/7

  When patients book their own appointments they can check, change or cancel their appointment online any time of day without contacting the practice.

When a GP/ANP refers you to a service, using the e-Referral service; you will receive a letter that will have the following information on it:

• Service Referred to
• Booking reference number
• Password or access code
• Services, Patient Access contact number

While Waiting for your Appointment:

If you require and help or advice regarding booking your appointment, contact the practice during our non-triage hours and speak to a member of our helpful Reception team or Medical Secretary Team. 

While awaiting to be seen, if you feel your symptoms have worsened, please call the surgery during our triaging times and request to speak to our triaging GPs.
